I learn by living.

I’m a science journalist by training, and I currently live in Washington, D.C. I used to report for POLITICO, Quartz, and my work has appeared in the Atlantic, Nature Medicine, Nature Methods, and more.

Now, I work in tobacco control and reducing risks related to smoking. I spend a lot of my free time reading, running, and writing.

This newsletter features brief personal essays as I try to better understand the world and brief updates about what else has my attention. Appreciate your readership, friends.
